An enthusiastic group of lively souls enjoying the great outdoors together, with plenty of walks, evenings out, and weekends away.
Good Companions
We are a welcoming group of friends who like getting out in the fresh air and enjoying the sights and sounds of the countryside.
With nearly 75 years of heritage and around 80 members, we are known for our convivial nature, diverse backgrounds, long-term friendships, and essential good humour.
Activities
Along with our weekly walks of varying lengths, we organise regular social events, including quiz nights, theatre trips and even the occasional curry evening. Several times a year we also arrange trips away for exploring other parts of the UK.
Our experienced walk leaders know the area like the back of their hands (well most!) and usually weave in a cake stop along the way. Some have even been known to plan their walk to end in the vicinity of a lovely country pub – for those so inclined!
Why Join?
Do you want to get out and about and explore the Cotswolds and other areas, including Wiltshire, the Forest of Dean, the Malverns, Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains? Want to make new friends, in a relaxed atmosphere?
Whatever your abilities, you’ll be welcome to come and get involved, with such a range of activities, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Just £6 per year currently, and when you’re ready, perhaps you could lead a walk too, and share with us your favourite countryside views.
