A select group for one of the last evening walks of the current season.

Heading out from Painswick, we climbed the heady heights of the Beacon to be rewarded with a beautiful sunset over the glistening ribbon of the River Severn.

The Royal Oak was our choice on our return and, remarkably, it was still warm enough to sit outside.
