A walk around local fields, tracks, roads, lanes and parks taking in points of historic or quirky interest along the way.
The next leg of the Wye Valley Walk from Whitestone Car Park to Monmouth, which will be 8 miles, and mostly riverside, apart from the first couple of miles, so an easier walk than the first leg.
We walk along the road to get to Broadway Tower, maybe seeing some Lavender in the fields. From the tower we go down into Broadway, walk through the village then follow some of the Cotswold Way back to Snowshill.
Starting from one of the most impressive Cotswold towns, the walk involves level field paths which leads to the Sezincote estate. A wonderful undulating Cotswold stretch then passes through the beautiful stone villages of Bourton-on-the-Hill, Blockley and Batsford.
Just under 5 miles (7.5km), the route goes through the golf course, climbing to the slightly higher ground for the view to Deerhurst and Odda's chapel before return along the river and through Bloody Meadow
Ascenic 9 miles with 2 ascents & one steep descent. Optional further ascent of the Tyndale Monument for even better views!
There's nothing like earning your supper! In between times, we will take a circuitous route to the top to meet our food, dine with a view and finally descend to the start. Lovely!
Lovely circular walk from N Woodchester to Selsley, over Selsley common and returning via South Woodchester. Super great big views, of course!

A delightful walk heading out from the 'Old Prison' cafe at Northleach taking in Hampnett and then heading along the tops with fine views into Wiltshire.
