Theatre evening – ‘Evita’
Featuring some of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s most iconic songs, including “Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina,” this musical masterpiece is being performed by the Really Useful Theatre group at Cheltenham's very own independent Playhouse Theatre

Morning walk – Tetbury 6.5 miles
Come along and enjoy an easy walk following disused railway track then across fields to the pretty hamlet of Ashley. Lovely views of Tetbury church on the return leg.

A walk through the woods east of the river Wye, taking in the sheer limestone cliffs of the lower Wye and the spectacular Wintour’s leap, the deserted village of Lancaut and the historic Offa’s dyke.

Delayed due to the heatwave in July (remember that?) a grand day out to the wonderful, National Trust Village of Lacock, Wiltshire with a walk to boot. AGM and planning meeting
Possibly the most important event of the year! Yes, really! Come along for a quick AGM to cover essential business for the running of the club, a planning meeting to plan our Spring programme and a chance to catch up over a free buffet to make it run as smooth as possible

Fri 4th or Sat 5th Nov :- Evening event- Fireworks
Somewhere in deepest, darkest Gloucestershire there will be some fireworks. A dedicated GOG member will be on 'Firewatch' for the weeks running up to the events to choose the best one for us to go to.

Day walk :- Tetbury 10 miles
Plenty of Autumn colours today as we skirt the royal Highgrove estate, through the Arboretum at Westonbirt (maples!!) and eventually on to the Village of Shipton Moyne where the Cat and Custard pot pub awaits. The return jouney heads through the Eastcourt Farm Estate.

Join us for a meal at the ever-popular Zizzis in Montpelier, Cheltenham. Known for good, reasonably priced Italian food and great repurposed church setting this has to be the perfect place for a meal out. There's often a pianist to add to the atmosphere
