To Heaven and back: A beautiful walk with a hill to start and views over valleys

This shorter Winter's day walk in the north east of the Cotswolds,heads out from the 'poetic' village of Adelstrop and takes in four less well-known villages, including Cornwell and Chastleton (which is also renowned for its fine 17th century mansion owned now by the National Trust)

Currently deciding between a number of routes starting from Northleach. Needless to say, whatever he decides, the location is a good one which might allow for views down into Wiltshire.

Wrap up warm for a leisurely saunter along the canal and river from the beautiful village of Frampton on Severn.

To many, the idyllic village of Castle Combe needs no introduction since it has featured on countless calendars, chocolate-box lids and jig-saw puzzles. Come and explore the wooded river valley and streets.

6 mile walk via Luckington & Sopworth. Lovely countryside but there will be mud and some slippery stiles! Please bring refreshments but option of hot drinks or lunch at the Angel at the end of the walk

We will visit the ships graveyard, IRB station and lock, finally thru Sharpness for some industrial landscape and return to Old Brookend.
