Typical, missing out on a great walk that ended with food, and a pub along the way! Looking at the pictures, lots of winter wonders to be seen, no unusual around the Daneway/Sapperton area.
The winter sun shone all the way round, despite a misty drive to the start of the walk at Aston Down. Descending to the canal, we enjoyed a delightful section of canal before arriving at the Daneway pub. After a short break, the return took us through atmospheric woodland with lots of beautiful elf-cap fungi clinging to mossy fallen twigs.A great five mile, Winter walk finished off with a ‘Jolly Nice’ lunch…at ‘Jolly Nice’.
