High up on Cleeve Hill on a sunny evening, watching the sun going down with a glass in your hand, after a great walk with good company. Sounds like a grand outing for the Outdoor Walking Group.

A cracking first evening walk of the season from the Apple Tree pub at Woodmancote. Crisp, bright light, long views and Spring flowers aplenty. The beer and food at the end made the sharp climb at the start well worth the effort. A perfect 3 miles to end a day.

To be frank, there are few good excuses not to join the Gloucestershire Outdoor Group – and you can be sure of a warm welcome.
