After a day of sweltering heat, it was well worth the effort to head off to Buckland, south of Broadway, for a five-mile evening walk.

After the initial climb, we joined the Cotswold Way and were rewarded with the occasional breeze.

A swift pint after the descent to The Mount Inn, Stanton, provided some much-needed rehydration before we threaded our way home across cooling meadows.
