Walk from Dymock, Gloucestershire

Walk from Dymock, Gloucestershire

Setting off at an earlier 9.30 am was a good plan for Sunday’s 10-mile walk from Dymock.

It was certainly worth it, with plenty of woodland, wonderful churches and the surprise of a tea shop.

At times it felt a little like walking in southern France – Tuscany even – with long vistas of dry grassland and warm breezes.

Our route took in Kempley with its Italianate pink stucco and the wonderful Hellens Manor in Much Marcle, where we demolished a fair amount of cake and tea as a reward for our efforts.

Some a-maize-ing fields, a huge irrigation drone working the crops and a hard-to-find footpath added to the adventure!

The final pint back in Dymock was very welcome.

Why not join us for the pub evening walk in Gloucester on Thursday if you fancy making the most of the cooler evening?
