Woodlands Activity Centre in Cwmbach was our base for the weekend Wye Valley walking trip.

The centre provided individual rooms, catering facilities and a great place to relax after walking.

Day one was a delightful 9-miler from Bredwardine, bringing us into Hay-on-Wye for ice creams.

Sunday’s 11 miles, after an initial climb, meandered along the Wye to our finish point. Shelter from the brief lunchtime drizzle was found at Glasbury, where the campsite sold hot drinks and snacks.
