Clearly a favourite haunt for the Gloucestershire Outdoor Group – the hill that is, not the pub!
Expansive views, bright evening sunlight, Belted Galloway cows and a cracking pace on the Group’s evening walk over Cleeve Hill.
The pressure was on to make it back in time to get some food and drinks in and… we were given the best views from our table in the ironically named ‘Rising’ Sun pub to watch the sun set over the Malverns.
One of the great things about being a member of this walking group is the regulars. One of the few groups around where you get a chance to really get to know the people you are walking with. And apart from the walking, usually chatting over a coffee, cake, or even a beer!
