We may be focused on Gloucestershire, but we do like to get out and about. Several times a year a group heads off into the distance. This season, 10 intrepid walkers headed up North!

As we head towards New Year, the group in Yorkshire have already had five fabulous days of walking from their base near Grassington, Yorkshire.
A stop off en-route last Saturday took in the heights of Pendle Hill, famous for its witches.
On the Sunday, one shorter 5 miles circular took in the Fountaine Inn at Linton and  tea shop in Grassington whilst the longer walk headed Soutward towards  Hebdon, taking a return route via the Dale’s Way.
Monday: two walks, a shorter linear along the Wharf whilst the longer walk of 8 miles set off from Buckden returning via Hubbaholme.
Brimham Rocks was the destination for everyone on Tuesday with an 9 mile circular for some whilst others parked up half way round in Pately Bridge for a mulled wine before a lift home.
New Year’s Eve has seen sunshine and a hard frost. Perfect weather for 3 different walks: A sunny 4 miles linear from Conistone Bridge whilst an 8 and 11 miler set off from Kettlewell, both including Great Wernside.
Happy News Year’s Eve and enjoy the photos.
