Winchcombe Way Walk, Part One

Winchcombe Way Walk, Part One

Several times a year, Gloucestershire Outdoor Group walks a longer trail in stages. A little organisation for car sharing is well worth the effort!

What a lovely start to the Winchcombe Way where we completed just over 12 miles of this four-part, long-distance path.
Heading out with a steep climb from Winchcombe our route meandered around the high Cotswolds taking in Temple Guiting and enjoying a quick stop (for some) at the pub at Ford.
Added delights of new-born lambs in fields along with daffodils and violets in the hedges contributed to the wonderful feeling of Spring.
Shopping opportunities were provided by veg stalls and a curious display of tempting hand-made toadstools.
Snowshill was our finish from where the next 10 mile section will leave.
Keep your eyes out for the next leg on the Sprin/ Summer programme due out soon. Everyone welcome to join!
